Standard installation steps for SMD and DIP waterproof tact switches, helping you avoid poor soldering, water leakage and switch failure.
Correct installation directly affects the waterproof performance and service life of waterproof tact switches. Whether for manual welding or machine patch mounting, standardized operation is required.
For DIP through-hole waterproof tact switches, ensure accurate pin insertion, flat attachment to the PCB board, and avoid excessive bending to prevent internal waterproof structure damage. Control welding time to avoid high temperature melting the waterproof rubber ring.
For SMD surface-mount models, keep the pad flat and clean. Reflow soldering temperature must comply with switch specifications to prevent shell deformation and waterproof failure.
After installation, check the button rebound sensitivity and sealing integrity. Poor installation will cause water penetration, insensitive pressing or early switch damage.
