H1: What Is a Micro Switch? Core Structure and Working Principle Explained

A micro switch is a miniature snap-action electronic component designed for fast and precise circuit switching. Featuring ultra-small contact spacing and sensitive mechanical response, a micro switch can complete instant circuit on and off actions with minimal external triggering force, which is the core reason for its wide application in precision electronic equipment.

The internal structure of a micro switch consists of metal shrapnel, contact points, trigger actuator and fixed base. When external pressure or mechanical thrust acts on the actuator, the internal shrapnel deforms instantly to connect or disconnect the circuit. After the external force disappears, the structure automatically resets to the original state, forming a stable momentary control logic.

Different from ordinary tact switches, a micro switch adopts professional snap-action mechanical design, with more accurate triggering stroke and stronger anti-interference ability. It can maintain stable and consistent switching actions under long-term repeated use. Standard industrial-grade micro switch products have ultra-long mechanical life, meeting the continuous operation needs of automated equipment and household appliances.

Due to its compact size, sensitive response and high stability, a micro switch has become a basic indispensable component in consumer electronics, industrial control, automotive electronics and smart device circuits.
